MINTEK, a leading technology organization specializing in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy, is seeking applicants for an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) internship position. The position involves assisting the SHEQ & ERM Department in coordinating and monitoring the implementation of the ERM Framework and Policy and other risk-related activities. The purpose of the position is to provide practical work experience to students who have completed their degree. Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, analyzing data, developing risk mitigation strategies, monitoring implementation, analyzing data related to risks, conducting research on industry best practices, benchmarking the organization's risk management processes against industry standards, supporting internal audits, developing and delivering training programs on risk management, promoting risk awareness and a culture of risk management, supporting various risk management projects and initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining accurate records of risk assessments, mitigation plans, and other relevant documentation, identifying opportunities for process improvements in risk management practices, and contributing to the enhancement of the organization's risk management framework.
Job knowledge and skills required include knowledge of ERM frameworks, policies, and risk governance, excellent communication skills, proficiency in ERM software solutions, ability to work independently and as part of a team, a positive attitude, proactive mindset, and a willingness to learn. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Commerce/ Finance & Accounting/Risk Management and an excellent academic record of 60% average.
